Bookish Sites: Literally

Yesterday night, the book blogging blogosphere went a-blazing on Twitter about Literally, a site that is currently in beta mode. I immediately signed up after I got an invite code from the lovely Cee. The site promises to be a site where it'll tell you deals about books that you've added to your TBR list, beautiful statistics about the books you read, and more. It's like Goodreads but better.

A mobile app is down the pipeline sometime in the future. So far, there's not a lot to the site since it's in beta mode and they're releasing new features soon but I do think the site is a good idea.

I still have one invite code left so let me know via the comments or Twitter if you want to join!  I ran out but Literally is retweeting out people who have invite codes left!

What do you think about this site? Would you join?

  1. Yep definitely! I do agree that Goodreads is a little boring, hahaha. Yep! I think it'll be great as a mobile app, especially with the instant notification for books in your TBR list.

  2. Yay, Literally! I'm so glad I was on Twitter last night so that I found out about it. I really like it so far, especially the badges. My Kobo has badges and I absolutely love it! The idea behind it is so cute but I only have two. HOW DO I GET MORE.

  3. Did you know that Literally was created by a book blogger and her husband?! That's so awesome!

I'm excited for the site. It has so much potential. I'm wondering how "book battles" will look like because I am so intrigued! Pitting books against each other? Um, that's kind of awesome. I most likely won't move from Goodreads to Literally officially, but I'll use Literally for stats (and perhaps interacting with friends).

  4. I can't get enough of the badges! My favorite thing about video games were the achievements and now I can get that by reading, hahaha, I'm in love :)

  7. Your Kobo has badges? That's so cute! I wish Nooks had badges, too. D:

I think you can get more by adding books and having more friends. :)

  8. I'll still be on Goodreads, because that is still my number 1 site when it comes to books and I love posting my reviews there, but the badges. AWESOME :D and I think it's a great addition to my reading, with the battle or easy way to request recommendation from friends.
