Holiday DIY

I'm a huge fan of DIY and now that I'm home for the holidays (actually on a flight right now... shhh!), there's always time for a good DIY. I don't have any stress from school for a month, though I do have to get some work done, for the blog as well as for my career/future (When did I get so old?). I've rounded up some perfect DIYs for the winter and I hope you enjoy them as much as I'll be enjoying them! It's a mix of food and crafts, which are my favorite types of DIY.

Holiday DIY

Easy No-Bake Tiramisu Huge fan of tiramisu and now that I won't living close to an Italian-American bakery, I know I'll have to make some of my own. Tiramisu is hard to make but this recipe makes it easy.

Wire Star Ornaments How cute would these look on a tree?

Gingerbread Caramels I'm actually not a huge fan of candy with the exception of chocolate but these look scrumptious. Plus, they'd make great gifts as well.

Mini-Wreath Tags Present wrapping can get pretty boring pretty quickly and they all start to feel similar after a while. Make these gift tags to help your presents stand out.

Hot Chocolate Chai What better combination for the cold winter days ahead? Yum!

photos from their respective blogs

Do you like to DIY? If so, what are you planning to make this winter? If not, what will you be doing over the holidays?

  1. I love looking at DIY though it's rare for me to actually follow through with a DIY, I'm just too lazy and I always get caught up in the staring and admiring on pinterest. I love the star, it's beautiful and the food looks delicious.

  2. Same, actually! I have loads of free time on my hands over break so hopefully I actually get to the DIYs this time around.

  3. The Internet makes me want to be so much craftier than I actually am, but I love these! Those wreath tags are adorable. Next year I'm going to think outside the box with my wrapping . . . I totally slacked and just used the boring paper we had leftover from last year.

  4. I love the idea of DIY-ing! But like Isa said I hardly ever go through with it because I get so caught up in looking at all of the different array of ideas. I would really like to try making custom plates with Sharpies at some point...

  5. The wreaths are cute, aren't they? I've heard you can make some out of rosemary as well and Jessica from Coco and Mingo has a great DIY for that: http://cocoandmingo.com/2013/12/12/holiday-place-cards-rosemary-mini-wreaths/

    Happy holidays!

  7. Now I NEED to try that tiramisu-the post makes it look super easy so I'd definitely love to try it soon! :D

And those wreaths are just adorable! Not much of a DIY person(not for the lack of trying though, just WAY too many disastrous end results!) but I do love seeing these kinda posts.

  8. I know right? Tiramisu is amazing.

I'm typically not a DIY person unless I need to spruce things up a bit. Thanks for the encouragement since I was iffy about this post! :)
